Aquinnah- Necklace - Whelk Beachcomber

Cast replicas of a welk shell found on the beaches of Martha's Vineyard. Welks are very common to the island and New England seashores.

Each shell is a casting made of solid brass, which makes for a very nice weight, and heavily plated in 18k gold.

Meet the Maker:

Owner and designer, Kelley Solomon, has always had a passion for style, fashion and art. Growing up loving the arts, she studied fashion and photography in college. Upon graduation, Kelley moved to Martha's Vineyard where she created her first jewelry line, KDesign, which was sold in a variety of island exclusive boutiques.  Kelley found peace and inspiration for her jewelry through the island's rustic charm, raw beauty, and spirituality.

In 2011, she launched her new collection and named it after her favorite place on Martha's Vineyard, Aquinnah. Aquinnah Jewelry is designed and handmade in a home studio, nestled in picturesque Killingworth, Connecticut and in a small cottage on the island of Martha's Vineyard.
