My luxury candles are hand poured in micro batches with natural soy wax and phthalate free fragrances made with essential oils. Burn time 50 hours.

Elm City Botanicals is a one-woman shop that specializes in natural handmade soaps, candles, and massage oil candles. Every item is handmade in small batches with the highest quality ingredients in the Elm City - aka New Haven, CT.

Elm City Botanicals was started by a PhD student who (clearly) wasn't busy enough. She began to make handmade soap and candles because she had a limited budget and wanted to incorporate more natural and sustainably minded ingredients in her life. Years later, after perfecting the art and science of soap and candle making with the help of other PhD students, Elm City Botanicals is open to the public. We are still dedicated to staying true to incorporating the highest quality and most sustainably sourced ingredients available. 

Soap and candle making is both an art and a science. All of our products and batches are quality tested and carefully formulated with the help of PhD chemists.
