Grab the popcorn, and let's talk about what shows you should be streaming!

Let's talk about the top 24 shows to stream in 2024. Here are my top 24. What are yours?  First, let's start by making some popcorn.

We are big-time movie/TV nerds in our house, and popcorn is always a must. I got my popcorn popper right here at Dwell. It's a W&P Popcorn Popper and comes in individual or family sizes. I like individual portions, so I can play with flavors without complaints.

Last night, we finished watching Fool Me Once, which is on my list of top 24 shows. For my popcorn, I wanted to make it a little spicy. I used olive oil and Jacobsen Habanero sea salt, which are also available at dwell.
Now for my top 24 shows to stream and where to find them.

1) Vera- available on Britbox.  Vera is a detective/crime drama with 13 seasons available. It is a fantastic show recommended by a beautiful couple from northeast England who came into the shop. That is where it is filmed, and the scenery is lovely.
.
2) Beyond Paradise- available on Britbox. Beyond Paradise is a new crime/detective drama with one season available. Beyond Paradise is a spin-off from Death in Paradise that follows DI Humphrey back to the UK after he left the Caribbean. I am also a huge fan of Death in Paradise. The show can be funny but also very emotional. I have found myself very invested in the characters and their stories. Filmed in Cornwall, the backdrop to an incredible show is as pretty as a picture.
.
3) Payback- available on Britbox.  Payback is a thrilling new drama set in Edinburgh. There is one season available. I found this series extremely exciting. It is one of those shows where, at bedtime, you need to watch just one more episode to know what happens next.
.
4) Marianne- available on Netflix.  Marianne is a series for those of you who like to be scared! This one had me turning on the lights if I had to get up at night because I was SO scared. The show is in French, but English subtitles are available. It's an excellent choice for horror fans!
.
5) La Pitchoune: Cooking in France- available on Discovery Plus. I have watched Cooking in France several times, and I'm sure I will watch it many more times. The show is a mix between cooking, travel, and lifestyle. It was filmed in Julia Child's old home and around the south of France. Makenna and Kendall teach a recipe-free cooking school in Julia Child's former home. It's inspiring, fun, and a relaxing watch. It's inspired me to be more creative in my kitchen. If you haven't already, try the simple French omelet they teach you to make.
.
6) Father Brown- available on Netflix.  Father Brown is a crime drama. There are 11 seasons available. There are great characters, lots of laughs, and rousing mysteries.
.
7) The World's Most Amazing Vacation Rentals- available on Netflix. Two seasons are available. If you love to travel or dream of traveling, this show is for you. I know I've added several of the properties visited to my travel bucket list. The hosts are fun and energetic. There are good vibes and unique travel destinations that you can rent.

This show inspires and unlocks your creativity in business and the kitchen. Make sure to come into dwell to buy a postcard to send to The Lost Kitchen to try to get a reservation when the lottery opens this Spring!
.
11) Saving the Manor- available on Discovery Plus. One season. This is an excellent series for those who like home improvement shows. Filmed in the UK, this follows an adorable couple fixing up a dilapidated manor impeccably! I wish they could decorate my house.
.
12)  Murder In- available on MHz Choice. This is a French detective series with English subtitles available. There are 11 seasons. By far, it is one of my favorite detective/ mystery series. .
14) Midsomer Murders- available on AcornTV. With 24 seasons, this classic is one of my go-to shows. Based in the UK, this fictional county of Midsomer is teeming with murders. It's not surprising this show has such a large following. It doesn't take itself too seriously while keeping you engrossed in the mystery.
